- I'm a southerner currently displaced in a Northeastern metropolis. I've previously lived in the Appalachian mountains and at the coast in Charleston, SC, and they remain my favorite places. My vocation is communications - I've been a journalist and also worked in politics and PR,with special emphasis on education, the environment and technology. I love children, animals, music, books, films, sports and seeing the world. I worry about the state of the planet -- the environment and how we treat each other. My fondest wish is for peace...perhaps idealistic, but what are we without hope?
